Jim Henderson

Jim Henderson is an AHIT Certified and Texas Licensed Professional Real Estate Inspector. Jim is focused on residential real estate inspections in Collin County and the surrounding area. He earned his license as a TREC-certified Professional Real Estate Inspector - the highest designation available through the Texas Real Estate Commission. Jim served as V. P. and President of the Collin Co. Association of Realtors' Inspectors' Committee 2018 - 2020 Jim was an instructor for Home Builders Institute, Washington, DC as a Building Construction Technology Instructor for almost 16 years. Jim has also served as a member of the City of McKinney Building and Standards Commission; the City of Melissa City Hall Construction Oversight Committee and as a member of the National Presidential HVAC Advisory Board and was an OSHA Trainer (Jim trained the trainers!)

Jim has been immersed in the Texas real estate business since his wife, Jodi Foster, became a Realtor© in 2001. Jodi, who is currently devoting her time supporting Jim, was a Senior Agent and Master Trainer at Keller Williams Realty in McKinney for eight years and with Century 21 for two years. Jim received his Realtor©'s license in 2010. He has a thorough understanding of Texas home inspection requirements and the most important features of houses to be inspected in the Collin County area and North Central Texas. Jim completed extensive education through American Home Inspectors Training and completed training as a Professional Home Inspector with 956 hours in specified courses.

Jim's experiences as a REALTOR, a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor and Instructor and as Professional Inspector has taught him the importance of discovering potential structural and system issues for prospective home buyers, sellers or owners and the need to deliver a thorough report quickly. Our industry specific systems; INTERNachi Digital Signature System; Inspector Support Network Scheduling System and Home Inspector Pro Reporting Software make our scheduling and delivering of your detailed and thorough inspection report quick and easy.

More importantly, Jim knows how to talk with people about homes. He helps buyers and sellers understand what's critical, as well as what's just routine about home ownership. Jim is eager to help you know the home before you decide to buy.

Jim understands the extreme competitiveness of our North Central Texas housing markets, and the importance of being available to conduct inspections on short notice. Frequently the ability to perform a thorough home inspection in a week or less is critical to the success of the buyer's offer. This is particularly true in the high-growth areas of Frisco, McKinney, most of Collin County, North Central Texas, and the surrounding area.

We have automated our home inspection process and reporting to reduce the end-to-end time it takes to produce and deliver an Inspection Report. This efficiency gives our clients a competitive advantage in an environment where sellers may be receiving multiple contemporaneous offers.

Jim is dedicated to excellent service, done in a professional manner. Whether you're a first-time buyer, or you're an experienced buyer or seller, we can help you make an informed, clear decision.

Jim's vast experience in the construction industry makes him the ideal person to help you "inspect before you invest".

* There are three levels of home inspectors licensed in the state of Texas.

  1. Apprentice;
  2. Home Inspector and
  3. Professional Home Inspector. A Professional Home Inspector (like Jim) has completed the highest level of education and standards required by the State of Texas to become a licensed Professional Home Inspector. You will see many Home Inspectors who advertise themselves as "Professionals" but that does not mean they are licensed as "Professional Home Inspectors" by the State of Texas Real Estate Commission.
